Clipse & Roots

What a stroke of genius it was to install The Roots as Jimmy Fallon's house band. Here's another great live performance with everyone's favourite crack rappers Clipse.

And you should definitely watch THIS Mos/ Talib/ Dirty Projectors vid

I'm ashamed to say I still haven't heard Till The Casket drops in full. I really need to. Until then i'm loving this on 22 Tracks

New Clipse- I'm Good

Clipse have leaked their new single- one of two set to come out in the next few weeks. After a couple of listens i'm not sure it's for me- not really feeling the soft Pharrell production. I like Clipse when they're more gangster.

Still can't wait for the album though and the chance to hear the rappers work with some non-Neptunes producers.

Clipse & Kanye

This is a fairly dodgy picture of me with Clipse (and one of the Re-Up gang) from last summer where I watched them from the side of stage- next to Pharrell- at a festival in Oslo. It was a career highlight.

The duo are crack (or perhaps coke) rappers whose lyrics mostly concern drug dealing. But for an example of their unique, complex and often philosophical lyrics listen to Momma I'm Sorry. Clipse also benefit from some of the Neptunes most out there and gritty beats.

Here is a taste of their LONG awaited new album- Till The Casket Drops. Kanye's guest spot shows you how well they're regarded among rappers and rap fans.
